Montana

After crossing back into the USA and Montana at the Chief Mountain crossing we rode south east. Hwy 89 south of St.Mary’s to south Browning was a surprise with big, fast sweepers. We stopped for the night in Grand Falls, Montana where we experienced an epic thunderstorm, huge hail and enough rain to flood the parking lot!

The next day we followed I-15 down to Helena and then east on I-90 to Belgrade, near Bozeman, Montana. Andy had arranged with Aaron at SDS Powersports to install new front and rear tires, and do an oil change on all three K1600s. Aaron was very accommodating and allowed us to work in his  shop to complete the work as quickly as possible.

We continued on to Red Lodge, Montana where we stayed for two nights.
