Kansas City to Pueblo, Colorado

On Friday we left Steve's house in Kansas City and had a long and uneventful ride across Kansas to Pueblo, Colorado. We avoided the Turnpike and briefly rode I-35 west to Emporia. From there we stayed on US 50 all the way west.

It was cool leaving Kansas City but warmed up by the time we stopped for lunch in Dodge City.

Damian lived on the edge by almost running his bike dry. In Newton, KS, he put 7.138 gallons in his K1600 which has a tank capacity of "approximately 7.0 gallons"!
